I Am Watching You
As I watched this today, I was reminded of how blessed I am to have an amazing Husband. Steve is such a great father and I love to step back and watch him as he plays, builds legos, laughs and cries with our children. He is a true gift from God! Thank you Honey for choosing me...I love our family!

Thankful Turkey

| From Thankful Turkey - Nov. 2008 |
A good friend of mine, Melissa, whom I have not seen in FOREVER... invited us over to play and do a craft. We had so much fun catching up and hanging out. The kids/moms created the Thankful Turkey's. The kids had to come up with the things they were thankful for and write them on the feathers. So cute!!
We actually had to finish ours at home because the boys were having some crazy fun. Here is our finished product. Even Steve got in the spirit and helped us glue the eyes, beak and "gobble, gobble" on.
Thanks Melissa for having us over. I always feel so at home and comfortable at your house. Lets do this again soon!!!
Lego Table
So as some of you know...I am a purger of everything - especially toys. (This drives my Mom nuts...she is the opposite...and so we laugh.) On this occasion we purged and then turned around and created our own Lego table. We bought the table and chair for $30.00 and put on our own Lego "plates" on it. The kids love it! We actually should have given it to them for Christmas but it was an impulse thing. Sometimes that is just how we work! Purge and create more tasks...HA!

Batman Babes
After Halloween, I always venture out looking for costumes at 50% off or more for the kids. Not much for girls this year, but I did find a few for boys. AS you can tell it doesn't really matter for Abby....she found Caleb's old Batman costume and decided to play Batman with him too. We had so much fun!

Halloween Night
Thank goodness my kids take great naps, because by 5:30 we were off again for more fun. Grandma Placeway and her best friend (of 45 years...wow) hung out with us as we trick or treated and participated in a neighborhood parade - that ended with firetruck for the kids to look and touch. The neighborhood was busy, and once again we had a lot of fun.
Later in the evening we decided to visit Coach Schieb and so we headed back down the street where the Lieutenant of the local fire department was yelling for "Captain America". Caleb was on cloud nine. He then got out all his equipment for us to touch and lift...and there were some laughs....from the older ones who were with us.
All in all...it was fun. Our kids love to dress up and you could really see the "BOY" in Caleb come out this year. Oh...and check out that shield....I made it...the night before Halloween. Who knew I would find that costume at Goodwill a few days before for $3.00 and then it had to be his costume for this year because "Daddy LOVES Captain America, and so do I"!
Costume Party
A friend of ours had an amazing costume party for the the kids on Halloween. We played, had a story read to us (by a grandfather....awesome), made crafts, ate kid friendly food and took a hayride with friends. It was a blast, and I keep saying that ....we should have this as an annual event. :)
Creating our own Pumpkins
So I decided to tackle a new Pumpkin Craft at home before doing it with Caleb's class. They had a lot of fun putting candies on their pumpkins with confectioner's glue. Messy...but worth it!
PS...We had a good time at Preschool with it too!

Another Quote
So...just moments ago Caleb came up to me, with a wand in his hand, and told me that he was going to marry me when he gets bigger. I just love being a mom.
It also made me realize how lucky I am to have such an amazing-Godly husband who has given me this gift to stay home with our children. Though it can be exhausting...it is worth every minute. I love you so much honey!

Stuckey's Farm
So we decided to go someplace different this year to get our pumpkins. We wanted to enjoy nature and the beautiful weather without all the "hoopla". We took a private ride on a Gator out to the pumpkin patch and then walked through the apple orchards picking apples. We all love apples, but Abby was in hog heaven. She is an apple fanatic right now so it was priceless to see her face as she couldn't get enough apples.
These are the moments that I cherish with my family. God is good!
