Another Caleb Quote
So...today as we are walking downstairs for breakfast Caleb says to me..."You know Mom...God made videos for me to watch." Are you kidding me with this? It made me laugh and also think...that this little one may be a good politician some day.

Indianapolis Air Show
This was the second annual Indianapolis Air Show date. Last year we both took Caleb on a date to the Air Show. It was a blast. This year, since I took him on Friday night to the game as our date...Steve took him to the Air Show for their date. We have been trying to do this every few months. He loves it and looks forward to his special time with us. As soon as Miss Abby turns two we will begin the dates with her as well.
The boys had a great time, even though it was super hot. When we met for dinner later Caleb was glowing and sharing all the cool stuff he did with Daddy during the day. I love those moments, and I love how these times have become really special to the Caleb.
Breaking Down Film
It was so cute to watch Caleb and Dad break down film from Friday nights game this afternoon. Caleb did everything his Daddy did from creating his own plays, to using a pretend phone as the remote to rewind, fast forward and pause a play, to talking on the phone to one of the coaches. He just loves his Daddy, and I feel so grateful that they have such an amazing relationship. I can only imagine what the years will bring.

Noblesville Millers at Lucas Oil Stadium
The ninth Annual PeyBack Classic – Friday, August 22 – Noblesville and Fishers played the first football game at Lucas Oil Stadium tonight. Though they did not win, we had a great time supporting the Noblesville Millers. The stadium is amazing and the fans were supportive.
You did an awesome job coaching babe! Caleb and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
Pat-A-Cakes
We love Pat-A-Cakes and Cookies too in Noblesville. Our Mom's Club had a "decorate a cookie" event this morning and Caleb had a blast. As you can see, he really loved put lots of frosting on his cookie.
Football Player and well our Little Rocker
We thought these were funny. Caleb LOVES football and so these pictures were perfect. And his sister....well....she loves music, and so we thought maybe she would be in the music business with this kind of hair. :)
Thanks Papa and Grandma Nichols for the purple hair. Her dress up outfits are now complete.

Indiana State Fair
So yesterday Caleb and I decided that we would take the train to the State Fair. Little did he know all that it takes to prepare for such an excursion with two kids in tow. We had an amazing time. Caleb really befriended a little sheep, and he was heart broken when we didn't have enough time to say good-bye to "his friend". I love his tender heart. Abby loved seeing the animals and had fun repeating back to us all the sounds that they make. Her smile is priceless. We left on the train at 8:45 AM and arrived home by 1:30! And yes...they are taking great naps as I write this.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just yesterday I felt that God really showed me how blessed I am to stay at home with these little ones. Caleb looked at me and said..."I love my sister, and I protect her." Their relationship gets stronger each day, and I continue to pray that God bonds them in ways I can't even imagine.

Dress Up Lunch
Today, this just made me smile. Life as a child is so much fun, especially, when you can dress as you like for lunch. Oh they sure know how to make being a mommy worth it all.
Lovey Tragedy
Oh what a morning! Anyone that knows Caleb, knows that he LOVES his Lovey. As you can tell from looking at the 2005 picture Lovey has changed through the years, but his love for "him" has not wavered. Today he was taking Lovey for a spin through the air and ....whoops! His face was priceless, and he literally thought that Lovey was going to live their forever. Rest assured he has made his way back into Caleb's loving arms, but it was a moment I won't forget.
We laugh about how it will just be a piece of string when he goes to college...maybe even framed. But no matter what...he will have it. Unlike his father, Daddy, who would like to share a piece of his history with you all...
"I still to this day wonder where "my Lovey" found his final resting place? Certainly, my Lovey would have been better off in my arms than secretly thrown underneath a dirty booth at a local Pizza Hut for the waitress to discard with the unused pepperonies. 'Oh Lovey how I miss you so. It is my hope that you can see I am trying my best to pass along the happiness you gave me to my son with his Lovey. On this day, August 3, 2008, I vow to never discard his Lovey'."
Love,
Daddy
Buzz and Football
I don't know about all of you with 3 year olds, but ours has totally been into dressing up lately. On this paticular day, he just couldn't decide. He was in love with Buzz Lightyear, but he still yearned to be a football player...especially since Daddy bought him a mouthpiece "like the big boys". He is in love with Noblesville football...and "his" Coach Scheib (the head football coach and long time family friend of ours).
The Ponytail
Okay...So I know that I am a girl and all, but I am still challenged by this whole "little girl hair thing". So this is my first attempt at a ponytail. I am sure as she gets bigger, it will get better. We hope that one day she will have awesome hair like the little "Princess" we know and her ponytails. :)
